LTA.PROMPT is the Land Transport Authority's online permit portal for applications related to works on or near public roads, road reserves and pedestrian footways in Singapore. Any contractor or developer whose works affect a public street must submit a permit application through LTA.PROMPT before works commence.
Starting works without a valid LTA.PROMPT permit is an offence under the Road Traffic Act. Fines and stop-work orders can be issued by LTA for non-compliance.
Occupying any part of a traffic lane or shoulder on a public road, even temporarily during construction operations.
Works within a pedestrian footway โ hoarding, road opening or utility access points that affect pedestrian movement.
Construction vehicles accessing a site via a public road in a way that affects normal traffic flow or requires road management.
Diverting or protecting services within road reserve โ water mains, telecommunications cables, power cables.
Breaking open road carriageway or footway for utility works, drainage or structural foundations.
Erecting temporary directional or construction-related signs on or adjacent to public roads and road reserves.
